Porcelain Veneers And Crowns

Porcelain Veneers:

Porcelain veneers are lab fabricated, thin facings of porcelain that are bonded onto the facial surface of the teeth. Each tooth is prepared similar to that of a cosmetic bonding. Impressions of the teeth are taken and given to the lab for the fabrication of the veneers. When complete, porcelain veneers appear like natural teeth and will not stain or fade over time.

Porcelain Crowns:
Much like porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns are lab fabricated layers of porcelain. Unlike veneers they wrap entirely around the tooth. This provides the tooth with optimal strength as well as esthetics. The teeth are prepared and once again an impression is taken and given to the lab for fabrication. Porcelain crowns can change the size or shape of teeth as well as close in spaces between teeth.

At Care Dental, every smile is different and customized to fit individual needs. When lab work is necessary, it is essential that there be an open communication between the dentist and the lab. Most labs are located hundreds if not thousands of miles away from where the dentist is practicing. Your case would be mailed to the lab with written instructions for the lab technician, potentially creating a challenge in communicating details about your future smile. Care Dental's on-site lab however, allows an open and direct communication between the dentist, the lab, and the patient. The greatest advantage of a dental office with an on-site lab is that visual instructions are given to the lab allowing for personalization of your new smile. Modifications to your teeth can be accomplished in minutes, rather than days. The teamwork of the dentist and the lab can help you improve your appearance, giving you a brighter, whiter, healthier smile.

2-Visit Smile Makeovers
Sometimes referred to as "immediate orthodontics," smile makeovers offer dramatic results with a minimal investment of time. Using crowns, dental implants, or natural-looking, tooth-colored porcelain veneers at Care Dental, Dr. Eisenband and Dr. Stein can help you create a stand-out, light-up-the-room kind of smile. Smile makeovers can whiten, lengthen, and even straighten teeth. Whatever your concerns – chips, gaps, stains, mild crookedness – we can create a beautiful new smile in as little as just two visits.

To learn more about how we can create dramatic new smiles through implants, crowns, porcelain veneers, and teeth whitening, we encourage you to contact us today.
